“Floating” and “interaction” are essential concepts in Eneida Pérez’s work. “Floating” as a state of calm movement while “interaction” captures the awareness of your surrounding and the people around you. Her urban art installations Floating Buddha were the first translation of these concepts into her work. During the installations the Buddhas float on the water in a meditative way while interacting with other Buddhas in an unforeseeable way.
Bike Art take the concept of “floating” and “interaction” a step further: it adds the aspect of functionality. The bike remains a functional item that is turned into an art object. Making art “livable”, transmitting positivness and calmness. People react to the bike art objects. They evoke awareness and and a positive attitude from others.
